Welcome back, I know we sent out an update for the new Coffee and Code time earlier this week but we have a couple of additional announcements as we begin this new quarter that we’d like to share with you!
First, the next General meeting will take place on Thursday 12/15 @ 5pm. This will be held in S341(the lecture hall) as always. The meeting will follow the usual structure and we will also be kicking off our open source competition! We’re dubbing it Source Trek and more information will be available at the kickoff.
Second, Patrick Zawadzki will be hosting a Xamarin Workshop on Saturday 12/17. Below is a note from Patrick regarding the Workshop. He includes instructions to setup the environment for developing, we recommend following the instructions BEFORE coming to the workshop. It would be a waste to spend the workshop waiting for a download to complete. The workshop is from 10:30am to 1:00pm.
Come learn the basics of cross-platform mobile development in Xamarin.Forms!
Basic programming knowledge is expected, we will be using C# to create a
simple application for Android and iOS, as well as a chance to win some free
shirts and books!
If interested, please go to https://github.com/zawadzkip/MSOE-Xamarin-Workshop
follow the install instructions and clone the repository to get prepared for the event!
Feel free to email Patrick Zawadzki at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions
Lastly, we have been asked to distribute the following survey by SGA regarding the campus shuttle service. Please fill it out if you have a spare moment.
As always if you have any questions please contact us!
